Two Day Downpour Delays Nationwide Series Race at Texas Motor Speedway, No. 15 Team Streams in Solid Finish Contact: Maggie Martin, Rising Star Management Group, mmartin@risingstarmg.com

Fort Worth, Texas (April 20, 2010) – Michael Annett and the No. 15 Pilot Travel Centers team extended their stay in the Lone Star State this week and secured a top-20 finish in a two day rain delayed race at Texas Motor Speedway. The NASCAR Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon, but with two days of non-stop rain showers, the 200 lap race was postponed until Monday.

Annett started the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 in 36th, but gained valuable track position and moved his way into the top-20 by lap 48. Continuing to run in the top-20 while fighting a tight handling racecar, Annett remained a tough competitor in the top-20 throughout the remainder of the race finishing 16th.

NASCAR Nationwide Series teams weren’t the only ones affected by the Texas downpour. NASCAR’s premier Sprint Cup Series race was also delayed until Monday, making it a doubleheader at Texas Motor Speedway. Sprint Cup Series cars hit the track Monday morning for their 500 mile race, with Nationwide Series cars following totaling 800 miles of racing action in one day at the 1.5 mile track.

Up next, Annett and the No. 15 Pilot Travel Centers team will drive to the famed Talladega Superspeedway for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Aaron’s 312. Racing on a track where he brought home an ARCA Racing Series victory in 2007, Annett is enthusiastic about returning to the 2.66 mile high banked superspeedway. Watch and listen live to the Aaron’s 312 on ABC and MRN Radio at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
